Acer America stopped selling this item Acer datalink cable ALU-121 in 2001 and they said there is no intention to develop drivers for Windows XP (comment poor support). Windows XP identified the cable to be fitted with chip made by Profilic Technologies Inc. of Taiwan (tech.prolific.com.tw/) and this gave me the lead. The drivers and software Pc-Linq worked perfectly for the USB datacable which cost me P700 (US$12.73 equivalent)
